Peran Komunikasi Dalam Pembentukan Identitas Diri Pada Remaja Di SMA 1 Kota Bangkinang

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi dalam pembentukan identitas diri pada remaja di SMA 1 Kota Bangkinang. Identitas diri merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan psikososial remaja yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk komunikasi interpersonal. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam digunakan untuk menggali pengalaman 10 remaja yang dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi dengan teman sebaya, guru, dan keluarga memainkan peran signifikan dalam proses pembentukan identitas diri. Teman sebaya memberikan validasi sosial dan ruang eksplorasi, sementara keluarga menyediakan nilai-nilai dasar dan dukungan emosional. Guru, melalui komunikasi yang positif, berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri remaja. Selain itu, pengaruh media sosial ditemukan memengaruhi cara remaja membangun dan mengungkapkan identitas mereka. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya komunikasi interpersonal dalam mendukung pembentukan identitas diri yang positif, serta menyarankan agar lingkungan sekolah dan keluarga lebih mendukung proses tersebut melalui interaksi yang terbuka dan konstruktif.
